Left your Halloween costume on the back burner? Don t panic — you most likely already own these costumes.

While some fortunate few are inundated with creative ideas all year long, most men tend to procrastinate until the very last minute to sort out their Halloween costumes. How predictable.

Fear not, however, as most men — whether they’re aware of it or not — are already sitting on a trunk of costumes they could wear tomorrow, with little-to-no supplementation required.

Don’t believe us? Here are five last-minute Halloween costumes you didn’t know you already had at home.

Carmen Berzatto from the TV series The Bear

Carmen Berzatto

Carmen (or Carmy) Berzatto is the lead character in FX’s hit TV show, The Bear, portrayed by Jeremy Allen White. Carmy is a highly skilled, award-winning chef and a leading part of New York’s fine dining scene who’s an intense perfectionist deeply haunted by his past and personal failures.

Whether you’re into cooking or have just been hitting arms at the gym more regularly, Carmy is a popular costume among men — and it almost couldn’t be simpler to pull it off with pieces you most likely already have.

Here’s what you’ll need to get this costume cooking:

  •  White T-shirt (the more form-fitting, the better)

  •  Jeans or casual pants (something utilitarian and baggy)

  • Shoes (clogs, sneakers, or Birkenstocks are preferred by chefs)

  • Kitchen apron (check those drawers next to your oven)

  • A sharpie (don’t forget Carmy’s trademark tattoos!)

  • Bonus Points: Carmen’s very own Gael Jacket by NN.07

Ted Lasso from the TV series Ted Lasso, wearing a blue and red tracksuit

Ted Lasso

The character of Ted Lasso, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis in the namesake sitcom Ted Lasso, is a larger-than-life American football coach from Kansas who makes an unexpected transition from the NFL to the English Premier League, the UK’s top-flight of professional soccer. Tasked with the unforgiving duty of becoming head coach of fictional club AFC Richmond, Ted must overcome cultural and sporting differences to take AFC Richmond forward despite his incredible lack of knowledge when it comes to the “other” Football.

If you’re already your kids’ house league soccer coach — or you’ve got a head start on Movember — you might have an easier time with this than others.

If you’re still not sure, here’s what to search for around the house:

  • A navy tracksuit (print off the AFC Richmond logo and tape it to the chest)

  • A visor or ballcap (white is most accurate)

  • A whistle (watch out for foul play)

  • A mustache (fake it or make it)

  • Undying optimism (harder to fake)

Kendall Roy from the TV series Succession, wearing a grey overcoat, white shirt, black tie, and sunglasses

Kendall Roy

Kendall Roy, portrayed by Jeremy Strong in HBO’s massively successful series Succession, is one of four tormented siblings and heirs to their father’s behemoth international media conglomerate, Waystar Royco. A business-minded, power-seeking shark of the corporate world, Kendall battles his own personal shortcomings and insecurities to prove to himself and others — namely his father — he’s worthy of leading his family’s dynasty.

A lesson in understated elegance (aka Quiet Luxury), Kendall’s wardrobe is one that doesn’t make headlines for the items themselves, but for the way he puts it all together. Discreet, distinguished, and designed for conservative corporate dress codes, Kendall embodies elevated dressing without looking flash.

Here’s how to dress for success(ion):

  • White dress shirt (freshly pressed)

  • Corporate-approved suit (navy, grey, or black)

  •  Vest or coat (layered overtop)

  • Neutral-coloured ballcap (cashmere would be TV-accurate)

  • Big shades (to hide your sorrow)

A man dressed as a cowboy wearing a beige hat, denim shirt, jeans, and brown boots

Cowboy

Does it get more quintessentially (North) American than a cowboy? Referenced and portrayed in countless films, TV shows, songs, and cultural moments, cowboys have remained one of the most revered icons of the Western world since the 1800s. There’s just something inherently cool about cowboys, which make them — alongside their instantly recognizable way of dressing — a go-to for Halloween costumes.

Whether you decide to dress as a famous cowboy — like Toy Story’s Woody, Brad Pitt as Jesse James, or John Wayne or Clint Eastwood from any of their catalogue of cowboy films — or want to keep it general, the same essential elements make up most of these costumes.

Here’s how to whip into shape:

  • Blue jeans (if you don’t already have these, )

  • Thermal or Henley shirt (as a form-fitting underpinning)

  • Plaid or denim shirt (Western details earn bonus points)

  • Suede vest (to layer overtop)

  • Cowboy hat (remember that time you went to the Stampede?)

  •  Boots (of course, cowboy boots are preferred)

  • Silver star badge (or bandana, if you’re an outlaw)

James Bond from the film series James Bond, wearing a black tuxedo and bow tie

James Bond

Does 007 really require an introduction? Arguably (definitely) the most famous spy in popular culture, 25 films make up Eon’s James Bond franchise, many of which are based on bestselling novels from the character’s creator, Ian Fleming. Whether in print or on screen, James Bond has defeated the bad guys and saved the world from imminent danger more times than we can count, and all without sacrificing his killer sense of style.

Every boy grows up wanting to be just like James Bond at some point or another, and this could be your chance to live your fantasy through.

Here’s how to go undercover:

  •  Black tuxedo (or dark suit, if you don’t own a tux)

  • Crisp button-up shirt (tuxedo shirt with a tux, dress shirt with a suit)

  •  Classic oxfords (polished to perfection)

  • Vesper Martini (shaken, not stirred)

  • Deck of playing cards (winning hand, up to you)
